  • Open Studio

Open studio for any artist who would like to work in a peaceful atmosphere at Chroma Art Studio (Burke Junction in Cameron Park) every Tuesday from 1:30pm to 5:30pm. $5 fee; bring your easel and work on your projects. Contact Yolande for details at cre8vfun@gmail.com or at Chroma on Facebook.

 Barbara Nilsson:

  • Adult and Children Oil Painting classes: all levels.

No experience is necessary only the desire to paint. Supplies are included. Barbara uses canvas boards, so if you want a stretched canvas you are welcome to bring your own.  Also, if you have your own supplies, please bring them.
Adults: Mondays 9:30-noon $100 for 4 classes; Thursdays 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. $90 for 4 classes. 
Children: Mondays 4:00-5:30p.m. $85 for 4 classes; Tuesdays 4:00- 5:30 p.m. $85 for 4 classes.
Classes are small 4-5 people and are ongoing.  You can join at any time.

Periodically throughout the year, Barbara holds encaustic painting and encaustic monotype workshops that are typically on a Saturday from 9:30 -4:00 p.m.  These workshops include lunch and supplies and cost $150.00 and $25.00 for supplies.  If interested, please contact her.  All classes and workshops are held at her studio in Folsom.  Contact Barbara by emailing her at info@barbaranilsson.com  or by phone: 916-984-4649.

Monday Morning Painting Group

Gelatin Plate Printing Workshop with Bonita Gohler and Jeanine Robb
October 15-16, 2016: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm each day.
Learn a new and fun way of creating unique and colorful monotype prints without a press. Come away with a colorful keepsake journal of your print samples.
Sign up now, space is limited.   Must be 18 years or older to attend. 
Workshop Fee:  $125 (+$10 materials fee, payable to one of the instructors at the start of the workshop)

Linda Nunes Encaustic Workshops
Two fall workshops are offered at Linda’s home studio in Rancho Cordova on October 14 & 15 from 10 am to 3 pm. All art supplies and written materials are provided including a lite morning and afternoon bite. These intimate workshops are limited to six students. You'll complete 4-5 projects in each workshop.
Encaustic 101 covers the basics (10/14: $150)
Encaustic Mark-Making (10/15: $185) takes place the following day. Here we'll add 25 other media to the encaustic wax. This is a wonderful workshop for mixed media artists as well as photographers and collage artists. Contact Linda at 916-833-8030 to register or for additional information.
