Monday Morning Painting Group

Pat Woodward has the Community room at Raley’s (same room where we have our monthly meeting) reserved every Monday from 9 to 12 until the end of May for the “Monday painting group”.  She would like to see more people participate.  It's really fun because it is just casual and everybody does their own thing.

Folsom Arts Association is proud to announce a workshop with the famous artist,
Frank Webb, one of the top twenty greatest art teachers in America. You can google
Frank Webb workshops to see his schedule and some of his paintings. The 5-Day
workshop will be March 18-22, 2009.

I did not intend to announce this until I have all the plans worked out, but it
appeared on his website and I started getting calls. I already have 16 people
signed up and do not want to have more than 24 or 25 - so if you are interested it
will be a multi-media workshop and I am taking names now and of course will have a
wait list also. Also I will work out the costs, etc once I get everyone signed up
and I work out the costs associated with the workshop. I am expecting it will cost

SHERRY HUNTTING ACADEMY OF CLASSICAL REALISM
Sherry Huntting Academy of Classical Realism, in Cameron Park, is for the artist who wants to learn to paint museum quality realistic paintings of portraiture, figurative, still life, landscape and seascape. Small classes of individualized instruction are for serious hardworking adults and youth from 16 years and up.

Owner / instructor, Sherry Huntting, has a Bachelor’s Degree and is an award winning artist. Sherry has been taught and mentored by the Master Artist, Frank Covino, from Vermont. Sherry’s academy classes are held Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and one Saturday a month from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Sherry Huntting Studio in Cameron Park.
